Think Physics Project

4th December 2015
Thanks to Ms Andrews for setting up another wonderful project with Northumbria University. This time Think Physics are at Chilli Road over the next academic year.

Think Physics is an innovative, cradle to career project aimed at using physics to inspire young people, particularly women, into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The project comes after research by the Institute of Physics revealed that across the U.K, half of all co-educational state schools have no young women studying physics at A-Level. The Think Physics is funded from the Catalyst Fund of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

This week they visited KS2 for an assembly about the British Astronaut Tim Peake and supported further investigations about space.
