Visit to Beamish

We launched our year with a visit to Beamish Museum. This museum tells the story of life in North East England during Victorian times and was therefore a perfect introduction to the period when our buildings were erected and the school opened. All of our pupils from Year 1 upwards along with teachers, parents, lunchtime supervisors and caretaking staff participated in workshops, experiencing first hand a lesson in the school room or taking part in domestic chores. Back in school the children have carried out projects in their classes.
