Curriculum Priorities

All of our subjects in school have been broken down into manageable and digestible learning chunks called curriculum priorities. Teaching staff plan all learning from these building blocks and our children reference these in their books at the start of a piece of work.

All of the curriculum priorities are indexed related to the subject, year group and learning focus so R4.3 is the third reading curriculum priority in Year 4:

• R – Reading
• W- Writing
• M- Maths
• S- Science
• H- History
• G- Geography
• A- Art
• DT- Design & Technology
• C- Computing
• F- French

These priorities are rooted from the 2014 National Curriculum and continue to be evaluated and developed. We are currently evaluating our priorities related to Religious Education and will share these in the summer term.
