Let there be light!

17th December 2018
This morning in assembly we've begun to investigate the question- why is the symbol of light important to people?

Having discussed this, Year 3 helped us understand a little more about what light is and why it is important. Last week, Year 3 collaborated with NUSTEM oncemore and used art to represent their understanding of our solar system.

Clearly, religion and science are interdependent and inspire humans across the spectrum. We've also attached a great document from the National Gallery where they decided to create a trail exploring the symbolism of light in different traditions.

Learning about our religious and non-religious heritage as humans is important to us and we are always mindful about how to do this in the most sensitive and inclusive way.

Kindest Regards,
